Five Cubic Meter of Water Hyacinth Transported from Untung Jawa Island

As many as 150 joint personnel deployed to clean up five cubic meters of water hyacinth in Untung Jawa Island's Pujasera, South Thousand Islands.

Untung Jawa Urban Village Head, Supriyadi explained, joint personnel consist of PPSU, Thousand Island Environment Sub-department Coastal personnel, Satpol PP, Gulkarmat, Karang Taruna and local residents.

"We transport five cubic meters of water hyacinth to temporary disposal site (TPS) while waiting for KM Laut Bersih boat to come," he mentioned, Friday (1/31).

His side targets to finish cleaning and transporting water hyacinth until this late afternoon. Because tomorrow is already weekend where Untung Jawa Island is usually crowded by visitors.

"This way, Untung Jawa Island becomes clean again and ready to welcome the visitors," he closed.
